Blood Spatter NailsHalloween is my favorite holiday! Christmas? Bah hum bug! Easter? Suck and Egg. Thanksgiving? Boring! Halloween is just so fun and intriguing! I love it! In the spirit of Halloween, I did my nails in a blood spatter pattern. I googled some tutorials and it was super easy! I do my own nail tips myself so I don't have to deal with messy polish getting on my fingers. This is what I did...
I have white full cover nail tips in my collection which I rarely use. I picked 10 tips that fit each finger and placed them on a paper plate. I grabbed a straw and two colors of red polish, one being a deep red. I took the plate outside and set it on the grass so I could be as messy as I wanted. This was the fun part! I dipped the straw into the red polish and then pulled it out and held it upside down so the polish could coat the inside of the straw a little. Then I aimed it towards the nails and blew hard on the straw causing the polish to force out and spatter all over the nails. I repeated this until I felt the nails achieved the gory bloody spattered look. Then I added some accenting with the deep red polish to make it look like darker blood in spots. I left the nails to completely dry before applying them to my own nails. I used PicMonkey to add a little bit of blood droplets and to make the crackled surface my hand was on just for effect. But the nails themselves were all done by little ol' me! Happy Halloween!!!!
